Your venmo account has been suspended: how to unsuspend
Venmo is an online payment application for sending money across several countries, but mostly used in the United States. All payments are secure, fast to receive payment and easy to use. Venmo have some similarities just like PayPal payment application in terms of rigid rules, which you must not violate, some of these includes (payments for hard drugs, sending money to illegal agencies) also, at default some newly created account might undergo some suspension moment commonly called “account frozen” especially when you receive huge money beyond your venmo account verification status, other suspended venmo accounts are mostly caused by failed transaction during payments, reverse payments, and request for provision of some documentation if flags are raised due to account activity that seems to be against venmo terms and conditions.
How do i unsuspend my venmo account?
There are three ways to have your venmo account unsuspended, but first you need to know what really caused your account to be suspended, if it is as a result of temporary freeze from lack of usage, reverse payments, failed payments or activities like transactions are not carried out for a long time follow the instructions below to fix:
Option 1
1) Visit venmo.com/addfunds, using computer or laptop and sign in.
2) In the new window, choose the bank you would like to transfer the funds from. You must have done verification to do so.
3) Type the amount you would like to transfer, which should be more than the amount you owe.
4) After transfer successful, wait for 3 business working days for your account to be unsuspended.
Option 2
If you have no idea about what prompt your venmo account to be suspended, you should contact venmo support team. You can do this directly from the application:
1) Open the Venmo app.
2) Tap the menu icon in the upper left hand corner.
3) Tap “Get Help” at the bottom of the menu.
4) Tap “Contact Us,” the middle option.
5) Under “CONNECT WITH A HUMAN,” select “Chat with Us.” This will start a chat with a live operator who will help you.
Option 3
Each time an account is suspended or frozen by Venmo, they do send message directly to the gmail address you use during registration explaining “why” and “what you should do to have your account unfrozen” so I will advice you check your Gmail following below instructions:
1) Go to venmo.com/recover and log in.
2) Reply to the email Venmo sent when your account was frozen. You may need to include a photo of a valid form of ID so that they can verify that it’s you.
Additionally, it’s also easy to call Venmo. Between the hours of 10 am and 6 pm, Monday through Friday (and with the exception of “major holidays”), you can call the company’s Customer Care Team at 855-812-4430.
